At least 1,101 people in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties thought the presidential election was a joke.
That's the number of people who voted for comedian Roseanne Barr.
With thousands of votes still to be counted, Roseanne Barr received 509 votes in Hillsborough and 592 votes in Pinellas.
That was good enough to put Barr and running mate Cindy Sheehan, an anti-war activist, in fifth place in the counties, behind the Democratic, Republican, Libertarian and Green Party candidates.
Her Peace and Freedom ticket also came in fifth in statewide results with 7,971 votes.
Along with Florida, Barr was a candidate on the ballots in California and Colorado. She was a write-in candidate elsewhere.
She had her best showing in California, where 36,183 people voted for her. In Colorado, 4,378 people voted for Barr.
Across the country, Barr received 48,776 votes, good enough for a sixth-place showing.
