An ounce of prevention

Based on the newspaper and TV reports I have seen, I expect to see a rash of riots, looting, vandalism and trashing of private and public property during the RNC. Swarms of paid protest organizers, parasites and other people are not interested in free speech — they just want to create havoc and destruction. It appears the powers that be have issued an open invitation to these people. The reports are that $290,000 is being spent on fences around government buildings, that windows will be covered to protect them from thrown objects and now the police will assume a stance of "patience".

Has no one considered issuing a notice that rioting, vandalism, trashing of public or private property, interfering with traffic and harassing people will not be tolerated — that such actions will be met with whatever amount of force, deadly if necessary, that is required? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound — or a million dollars' worth — of cure.
