A day for tears

I am a 63-year-old without healthcare, and need it as much as anyone. My husband and I can be considered poor. I am still a conservative.

I am furious that the Supreme Court of these United States of America let stand a law that was officially passed in the dark of night, by people who knew little of what it contained, under the instructions of then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

When asked by a colleague for more time to read the bill prior to being asked to vote on it, she replied, "First we must pass the bill, then we can learn what is in it."

This cannot be happening. Thursday I wept.

And I still wonder who got to John Roberts! Did someone threaten his children? Is there a skeleton in his closet that he wishes to keep locked up? I'm just saying there must be a legitimate reason for this brilliant, conservative man to have caved in like this. Otherwise, why in the world would he have chosen to rewrite this already ludicrous piece of legislation?

The four dissenting judges said this bill should be thrown out in its entirety. How in the world could there have been such a wide chasm separating Roberts from them?

I am baffled, sad and scared.
