The Florida Highway Patrol has released the name of a motorcyclist who was killed Wednesday in a Hernando County collision.

Adam Halcomb, 30, of Hernando was riding a 1997 Yamaha Genesis westbound on State Road 50 near Cammie Street about 5:49 p.m. Meanwhile, Leslie Ronald Wright, 69, of Brooksville was driving a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria was southbound on Cammie Street and had stopped at the intersection with SR-50, preparing to turn left.

The Ford entered the path of the motorcycle, which collided with the car, ejecting Halcomb and passenger Tamsa Ann Abney, 33, of Hernando, FHP said.

Halcomb, who was not wearing a helmet, was airlifted to Bayonet Point Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Abney, who was wearing a helmet, was sent to the same hospital with serious injuries.

Neither Wright nor passenger Losis Jean Zslomsowitch, 82, of Brooksville, was injured.
