A Tampa man died Thursday afternoon after losing control of his motorcycle while trying to get on Interstate 75 in Brandon, troopers said.
Brian Parilla Jr., 28, died at Tampa General Hospital from injuries sustained in the crash, troopers said.
Just after 3 p.m., Parilla was riding his 2007 Suzuki west on Brandon Boulevard (State Road 60), then turned onto the northbound ramp to I-75, troopers said.
For unknown reasons, he lost control of his motorcycle, which overturned on the entrance ramp, troopers said. Parilla was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries, troopers said.
Parilla, who was wearing a helmet, was airlifted to Tampa General, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
