Two people injured in a wreck on Interstate 75 near Ruskin on Saturday night remained in critical condition today at Tampa General Hospital, while the couple's infant daughter was stable, authorities reported.
Mario Limon, 25, of Gibsonton, was southbound in a 2000 Ford Taurus when, just after 9 p.m. Saturday, the car swerved, flipped and crashed into several trees in the median, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.
Limon and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Desiree R. Parks, also of Gibsonton, and the couple's 11-month-old daughter, Ruby Limon, all were thrown from the car, troopers said. None one was wearing a seatbelt or safety restraint, troopers said.
Mario Limon and Parks were airlifted to Tampa General Hospital. The baby was taken to TGH by ambulance.
No charges have been filed in the ongoing investigation.
