Around 75 patients were evacuated from a drug treatment facility on Monday night after a fire broke out, Tampa Fire Rescue said.
There were no injuries in the 8:45 p.m. fire at DACCO, a substance abuse treatment facility located at 4422 E. Columbus Dr., authorities said.
The fire was caused by an electrical short in an overhead door motor. More than 30 firefighters contained the fire to a maintenance work area, Tampa Fire Rescue said.
No firefighters, patients or employees were injured in the fire, which caused $1,100 of damage to the building.
The DAACO clients who live on the property and were evacuated Monday night were allowed to return home, Tampa Fire Rescue said.
