A Tampa family of four was sideswiped in a hit-and-run as they were standing in a median while walking across Nebraska Avenue on Sunday afternoon, police said.

As the family was crossing Nebraska at Fowler Avenue about 3:45 p.m. a black or dark colored SUV driven by a female sideswiped them, Tampa police said.

The vehicle continued south on Nebraska Avenue and turned east on 109th Avenue, police said.

The four family members were bruised and scraped but none of their injuries were considered life-threatening, police said. Injured were Angela Wilson, 42, Mikeis Rivers, Amber Washington and Kirk Deangallo.

Two of the victims were taken to a hospital for precautionary care, police said.

Investigators searched for the vehicle to no avail.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Tampa police.
