Two buses stolen from Hillsborough school

Thieves stole two school buses Sunday from the parking lot at Miles Elementary School, only days before the new school year, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The buses were found missing at 2 a.m. Sunday from the parking lot at 317 East 124th Ave. in Tampa, the sheriff's office said.

The buses were last seen headed north on Interstate 75, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office released these descriptions:

Anyone with any information on the buses or the suspects is asked to call the sheriff's office at 247-8200. Or, to be eligible for a cash reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at or text "CSTB plus your tip" to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
