Pinellas County sheriff’s deputies say they have arrested a woman who robbed a Dunedin bank this morning.

According to a report, a woman entered the BB&T bank, 1478 Main St., at about 9:45 a.m. and handed a note to a bank employee demanding money and implying she had a gun. The suspect told the employee that if she was given what she wanted, no one would be hurt. The employee gave the woman an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect fled..

Residents found evidence the suspect disposed of nearby and provided it to sheriff’s detectives, who used it to identify the suspect as 52-year-old Renita Mount Rayner, 701 Delmar Terrace, Unit 1, St. Petersburg, deputies said.

Undercover detectives from the St. Petersburg Police Department found Rayner shopping at a Save-A-Lot store at Ninth Street and Seventh Avenue North in St. Petersburg. She was arrested and charged with one count of unarmed bank robbery.
