A woman was arrested Monday after police said she procured a minor for prostitution at a Temple Terrace motel.

Temple Terrace police arrested Alysia Nicole Algere, 26, on Monday at her home, 923 Lotus Ave., Apt. A, Tampa.

Temple Terrace police initially responded late Sunday night to a report of an attempted robbery at the Ramada Inn, 11714 Morris Bridge Road.

No robbery had occurred, but police said they discovered information that led them to believe prostitution was taking place.

After further investigation, police said they found a girl younger than 18 who was procured for prostitution.

Algere had fled the scene, a warrant was issued and she was later arrested, police said.

Algere faces charges of deriving support from prostitution, procuring a minor for prostitution and renting space for prostitution.

Anyone with additional information was asked to contact the Temple Terrace Police Department at (813) 989-7110.
