Tampa police are investigating 12 burglaries and auto burglaries at South Tampa homes.

In each case, car doors were unlocked or garage doors were open, police said.

Among the items reported stolen were a gun, cash, iPhones, bicycles, wallets, purses and fishing poles, police said.

Police released surveillance video in which a man can be seen entering two cars in a driveway.

The police department reminded residents to lock car doors and keep garages closed.

Police released no other information about the break-ins.

Anyone with information on the suspect was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or go online to www.crimestopperstb.com. Those who call can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
