A woman who was sought in a hit-and-run crash last month turned herself in to authorities today, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
Cheryl Denine Brown, 45, of Valrico, has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries and driving while license suspended or revoked with serious injuries.
She was released on $4,000 bond early this morning, jail records show.
On May 15, a 2003 Honda Shadow motorcycle with two people aboard was traveling south on Bell Shoals Road nearing the east exit of the Walmart on the south west corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Bell Shoals, deputies said. Meanwhile, a Lexus SUV was headed north on Bell Shoals Road and attempting to turn left into the Walmart parking lot.
The SUV turned in front of the motorcycle, which hit the left front end of the SUV, deputies said. The SUV fled the scene.
The people on the motorcycle, David Lindsay, 46, and Connie Lindsay, 45, both of Brandon, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.
Detectives found the Lexus under a tarp in the back yard of a Valrico home.
