An undercover operation launched by the St. Petersburg Police Department in 2013 ended today with six men arrested on charges of conspiracy to traffic cocaine.
Early this morning detectives executed a series of search and arrest warrants leading to the arrest of Joseph William Thompson, 31, of Dunedin, Jarvis Maurice Rogers, 24, of Riverview, Robert Deuan Posley, 42, of St. Petersburg, Richard Lewis Walls, of Clearwater, Johnny Figgs Lewis, 44, of St. Petersburg, and Juan Derrick Cherry, 27, of Tampa.
Police also seized $100,000, various amounts of cocaine and marijuana and seven vehicles.
The warrants were a result of a long-term investigation which began in September into a drug distribution network trafficking in multiple kilos of cocaine and marijuana, police said.
The investigation was dubbed “Operation Full Service” due to the efforts of the traffickers to launder their drug money through various service related businesses, police said.
The St. Petersburg Police Department was assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Pinellas Park Police Department, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and the Office of Statewide Prosecution. The investigation is ongoing.
