TAMPA Investigators hope someone can identify the people in a surveillance video from the Hollywood Nites club on the night of a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.

The shooting took place about 2:10 a.m. Saturday at the club, 3005 N. Howard Ave., after a fight started inside, police said. Security made the patrons leave, and once people were outside shots were fired.

Wayne Thomas Lanier, 21, of 929 E. Henderson Ave., No. 343C, Tampa, was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he died, police said.

Omar R. Bacon, 26, of 701 Providence Trace Circle, No. 202, Brandon, was treated and released at St. Joseph's Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Investigators said the people in the video were close to Lanier when he was shot and might be able to provide additional information.

Police do not have a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
