TAMPA -

Deputies are looking for a shoplifter who pointed a gun at a store security employee before fleeing with stolen clothing last week.

The man was seen in surveillance images stealing clothes from a Bealls Outlet, 7039 W. Waters Ave., on March 21, deputies said.

A store loss-prevention employee attempted to stop the man outside the store. The thief pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the employee before leaving the scene on a dark-colored bicycle, deputies said.

The suspect was described as 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and between 160 and 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing white-and-black Nike shoes, khaki shorts and a black hoodie sweatshirt.

Anyone with any information about the case was asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200. To be eligible for a cash reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
