TAMPA The suspect in Sunday’s fatal shooting outside a convenience store turned himself in Thursday at the Orient Road Jail.

Rodney Dejontae Speights, 22, of Tampa, faces a count of first-degree murder in the death of Osh Williams.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said Speights shot Williams, 20, of Tampa, about 3 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Snack Attack Food Store, 6825 50th St.

Speights confronted Williams a day after the men were involved in a fight, investigators said. Speights was seen on video confronting Williams, then shooting him several times with a .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun before driving away, investigators said.

Speights, of 5801 N. 43rd St., was booked at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with no bail set.
