A man wanted for murder in El Salvador was arrested in Tampa and recently deported to law enforcement in the Central American country, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office.
Tampa police officers arrested German Franco-Zarceno, 32, for driving without a license in October 2012.
He was later transferred to ICE. The agency informed officials that Franco-Zarceno was wanted in El Salvador for murder.
Franco-Zarceno, a member of the Hediondo gang in El Salvador, is accused of killing a man by dropping a piece of cement on his head, ICE said. Franco-Zarceno was transferred to El Salvadoran law enforcement on Friday.
