A woman has been arrested and her boyfriend is being sought on human trafficking charges, Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.

On Thursday, deputies went to 704 Byni Ridge Drive, Winter Haven, after receiving a call about a 21-year-old woman being held against her will. Deputies located the victim, who told them she was being held against her will and was beaten.

After an investigation and interviews, Marisol Rodriguez, 21, was arrested and charged her with one count each of human trafficking and principal to human trafficking, which are both felonies.

She has been booked into the Polk County Jail, where she is being held on $10,500 bond.

A warrant was obtained for Rodriguez’s boyfriend, Devin “Smooth” Dixon, 29, whose last known address is 2205 Colson Road, Plant City. He faces charges of human trafficking, false imprisonment, felony battery and battery. Dixon may be in Polk or Hillsborough County, and Hillsborough deputies are helping in the search.

Dixon is a black male, 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds. He may be driving a 2005 Cadillac STS with Florida tag CBZ M17.

Anyone with information on Dixon is asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at (863) 298-6200.
