Polk masseuse charged with soliciting

Published:

A masseuse was charged with soliciting and battery after a visit from an undercover Polk County Sheriff’s Office detective.

After receiving information about possible illegal activity at “Massage,” a business at 9734 West Highway 192 in Clermont, an undercover detective went to the business Wednesday and purchased an hourlong massage. During the massage, deputies said, the undercover detective was solicited by the masseuse, Ren De Zhu, 54, 9734 Highway 192, Clermont.

Zhu asked the detective to remove his underwear and the detective declined, but during the massage Zhu removed the detective’s underwear and grabbed his genitalia, deputies said. The detective immediately notified other detectives who responded and placed Zhu under arrest.

Zhu was charged with soliciting another for lewdness and battery.

Zhu told detectives through an interpreter she is an American citizen but emigrated from China and arrived a few days ago to determine whether she wanted to purchase the business, but deputies said she had been observed in the business in February.

Zhu was taken to the Polk County jail.
