Polk deputies seek clues in Lakeland store burglary

Polk County sheriff’s deputies hope the public can help solve a smash-and-grab burglary that occurred Sunday at a Lakeland liquor store.

According to a report, between 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday, the front-door window at the Lakeland Discount Beverage, 3135 Knights Station Road, was broken. A suspect or suspect then entered the store and removed approximately $100,000 worth of cases of cartons of cigarettes, as well as cash registers and a computer.
