Tampa police are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect in an armed robbery at an East Tampa convenience station early this morning.

Police say the suspect entered the Sunoco gas station, 3401 E. Hillsborough Ave., with a black-colored handgun and demanded money.

After receiving the money, police say the suspect fled in a newer-model, white-colored car.

No injuries were reported, police say.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 5 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with red writing and gray jeans.

Anyone with information, who wishes to remain anonymous or to be eligible for a cash reward, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 873-TIPS or report online at the Crime Stoppers website, crimestopperstb.com.
