Police seeking missing Tampa Alzheimer’s patient

Tampa police are searching for a missing elderly man who suffers from Alzheimer’s.

Ismael Candelaria, 73, was last seen at his family’s Tampa home at around 4 p.m. Thursday, police said. He walked away from the home and is believed to be in the area of Interstate 275 and Fowler Avenue and Busch Boulevard, police said.

Candelaria, who lives in the 11000 block of Dixon Avenue, in Tampa, is 5-foot-10 and weighs 230 pounds. He has gray hair and is balding on the top of his head. He has some facial hair, police said.

He was last seen wearing black shorts, a blue T-shirt with a green polo shirt and black shoes, police said.

He left his wallet and cell phone at his home, police said.
