One person is dead and two were injured in two overnight shootings in Tampa that appear to be unrelated.

Suspects are still being sought in the shootings, which occurred 25 minutes apart near Lowry Park Zoo.

The first occurred around 1:20 a.m., and both victims were hospitalized with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Police say they found Antonio Davis, 31, at 8402 N. Edison St., and Dexter Price, 31, was found at Waters Avenue and Florida Avenue.

Police say Rodrick Randale Alexander, 32, of Tampa, died as the result of his injuries after the second shooting, around 1:45 a.m. at the Sugar Shack nightclub, 5636 E. Hillsborough Ave. Police responding to call of shot fire were told Alexander was dropped off at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
