TAMPA — Tampa police have arrested a 17-year-old in the shooting of another teen Saturday night in Ybor City, as revelers packed the streets for the Krewe of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade.

The shooting occurred about 11 p.m., shortly after the parade ended, during a fight at Eighth Avenue and 16th Street, in front of the Centro Ybor complex, Tampa police said.

Police say Marquis Alexander Dorsey, of 3624 E. Grove St., Tampa, pulled out a pistol and attempted to shoot a different juvenile he was arguing with, but missed and shot a different teen in the torso instead. Police later found Dorsey at his home, where he was arrested.

The victim was taken to Tampa General hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
