Polk County sheriff’s detectives are seeking a person of interest in Thursday’s shooting death of a Lakeland man.
Taurus Terrell Moye, 35, has a warrant out for possession of weapon by a convicted felon. His last known address was 5634 Cherry Wood Circle, which is where Davonte Lewis, 21, was fatally shot in the head about 2:20 p.m. Thursday, detectives said.
Moye is a black male, 6 feet tall and 218 pounds. He has tattoos on his back reading “Stromb” and “It Was Written”; on his left arm reading“Krazy” “TM” and “WPG”; and on his right arm he has bars, “Cry No More,” and “He Has Gold Teeth.”
He was released from prison in May after serving 10 years for attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery With a deadly weapon. Detectives warn he should be considered armed and dangerous.
