A North Redington Beach man suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday night when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Gulf Boulevard.
Deputies say Darrel Johnson, 66, did not appear to be in a crosswalk at 16333 Gulf Blvd. in Redington Beach when he was struck around 8 p.m. by a 1997 Honda Accord driven by Frederick Costantini, 50, of Largo.
Costantini had no signs of impairment and criminal charges are not expected, deputies say.
The case remains under investigation.
