A 41-year-old New Port Richey man died Friday evening when his vehicle crashed into a tree, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
William Moran was transported to the Medical Center of Trinity, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash, FHP said.
Just before 6:30 p.m., Moran was driving a 2004 Ford Mustang on Seven Springs Boulevard just north of Humboldt Avenue in New Port Richey. For unknown reasons, he lost control of the car and traveled into the left turn lane, FHP said.
The car hit a raised curb and went into the center grass median, where it crashed into the tree, FHP said.
Moran was wearing his seatbelt, and the crash doesn’t appear to be alcohol-related, FHP said.
