Two men are being sought in the theft of more than $21,000 worth of Polo clothing earlier this week from Macy’s at University Square Mall.

About 10 a.m. Monday, the suspects went to the Macy’s Department Store at the University Square Mall, got six empty bags from a closed register, and stuffed them with more than $21,000 dollars worth of Polo men’s clothing, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. They were seen leaving in an early 1990s Honda Acura, black, two-door coupe.

The first suspect is described as 22 to 29 years old, 5-foot-10, with a medium build and dark complexion, the sheriff’s office said. He was wearing a tan baseball cap, black T-shirt with white designs on the front and back, red gym shorts with a black stripe down the sides and black sneakers.

The other suspect is similar to the first suspect, but with a thin build and a short afro, according to the sheriff’s office. He was seen wearing a black stocking cap, dark green T-shirt with a red or orange design on front, black jean shorts and black thong sandals with white socks.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 247-8200. Or, to be eligible for a cash reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report the tip anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or text “CSTB plus your tip” to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
