Pair sought in computer theft at Valrico Wal-Mart

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said it is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man and woman who stole a laptop computer from the Valrico Wal-Mart in October.

The theft took place just before 8 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Wal-Mart at 1208 Brandon Blvd., deputies said.

The man and woman entered the store, with the woman actiing as a lookout while the man used scissors to pry open a display case holding laptops, deputies said. The man removed an HP computer from the case, and the pair left the store without paying, deputies said.

Both fled in a green, four-door vehicle, possibly a 2004 Mercury Sable, the sheriff’s office said.

Store surveillance images of the man, woman and car were released by the sheriff’s office.

The man was described by investigators as 22 to 29 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 3 inches tall and 240 to 260 pounds, with dread locks. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

The woman was described as 22 to 29 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall amd 220 to 240 pound, with long black hair. She was wearing a blue and black dress.
