A 28-year-old man was wounded this morning after he got into an argument trying to leave the Marathon station at 3745 N. 50th St., in Tampa, according to Tampa police.

Just before 8 a.m., Gregory Vaulx Jr. tried to leave the convenience store , at the same time that Kenneth Mosley, 55, was trying to get onto his bicycle that was blocking the door, said Laura McElroy, Tampa police spokeswoman. They started arguing and Mosley pulled out a large handgun and then a fight began.

During the fight, Vaulx was shot in the hand and Mosley suffered a broken ankle. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The two men know each other and have a history of fights, according to McElroy.

Police said charges against both of the men are pending.
