TAMPA — A man is in serious condition after Tampa firefighters found him in a house fire Wednesday night.
Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the 4100 block of North 30th Street to a single-story home with smoke emanating from the home’s front door and eaves.
Firefighters rushed in to fight the fire and look for potential victims, the fire department said.
Towards the rear of the home, a man was located. He was removed from the home, treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital, the fire department said.
It appears the man, who hasn’t been identified, suffered serious injuries, the fire department said. No one else was found in the home.
The fire was brought under control in 15 minutes with 30 firefighters working the emergency call.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
