Lakeland police seek bank robbery suspect

Lakeland police are seeking information on a man who tried to rob a Suntrust bank on Saturday.

According to a report, about 11:48 a.m., a man walked into the bank at 1075 Carpenter's Way, wrote a threatening note on a bank deposit slip demanding a precise amount of currency or he would kill everyone inside the bank. He fled before receiving any money. No weapon was seen, and no one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is a white man in his 20s, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9 and slender. He had a goatee and tattoos on his neck and on his lower leg. He was last seen wearing a ball cap, athletic long shorts, T-shirt, hoodie and slip-on style shoes, all black.
