Lake Wales police identify counterfeiting suspect

Lake Wales police have identified a woman they say has been passing counterfeit bills in local businesses.

By studying video and following leads, a police detective has identified Kimberle Renee Masters, 39, 1270 W. 3rd St., Riviera Beach, as the woman with pink hair seen passing counterfeit $50 bills.

Masters, who remains at large, is facing charges of petit theft and passing counterfeit currency, as well as charges from other local law enforcement agencies.

Anyone with information about Masters or who has received a counterfeit $50 bill from Masters is asked to call Detective Bill Raebig at (863) 678-4223, Ext. 264, or Heartland Crime Stoppers at (800) 226-8477.
