TAMPA — Aisha Clark was angry and wanted to make a point.

So she grabbed her baby boy by his right arm and dangled him over a second floor railing at her Tampa apartment on Tuesday, Tampa police said.

Someone took a photo and posted it on Instagram. Someone else saw the picture and contacted Tampa police.

Clark, 25, of Tampa, was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of child neglect, according to an arrest report. She was released from Orient Road Jail on Wednesday night after posting bail set at $2,000.

After the initial call, a Tampa police sergeant went to Clark’s apartment at 1566 Nuccio Parkway.

When the sergeant asked Clark why she thought the officer was there, Clark laughed, produced an iPad and showed the photo of her dangling her baby boy, the arrest report states.

Clark told the officer that the incident had just happened. She said she was “mad” and wanted to “make a point.” She added that she can do what she wants with her baby and no one can stop her, according to the arrest report.

Clark was in a second-floor balcony, and the baby was about 12 feet off the ground when it was being dangled over the railing, according to the police arrest report.
