Commuters who use the Himes Avenue exit on southbound Interstate 275 will have to deal with a new traffic configuration Wednesday.
As of this morning, the southbound Interstate 275 exit ramp at Himes Avenue will be accessed from the left lane instead of the right as crews work on interstate construction, the Florida Department of Transportation said.
The exit ramp will return to a permanent right lane exit late next year.
Below I-275, a section of Himes Avenue will be closed until 5 p.m. Friday.
Drivers who exit at Himes Avenue off of southbound I-275 will have to turn left once they exit the interstate, and head south on Himes. Drivers should turn right onto Cypress Street, turn right on Dale Mabry Highway and turn right on Spruce Street to get back to Himes Avenue.
After 5 p.m. Friday, motorists will be able to head either direction once they exit southbound I-275 at Himes.
