Hillsborough sheriff investigates theft from Jared store

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public to locate a man thought to have information about the theft of watches from the Jared jewelry store in Brandon.

About 5 a.m. Feb. 19, suspects broke the front window of the Jared store, 2206 W. Brandon Blvd., took watches and fled when the security alarm activated, according to the sheriff’s office.

During the investigation, detectives identified a man that they believe might have information about the case. The sheriff’s office released a photo of the man, described as about 5-foot-10, weighing about 200 pounds with gray hair. He was last seen traveling in a white, 15-passenger Ford van with tinted windows.

Anyone with any information about the man is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (813) 247-8200. Or, anyone with information on the suspects and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report the tip anonymously online here or text “CSTB plus your tip” to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
