A Hernando County teenager has been charged with murder after authorities say he stabbed his mother's live-in boyfriend following an argument Sunday.
At 3:21 p.m. Sunday, the pair was involved in a verbal argument at their 10036 Hayes St. home in Spring Hill. At some point, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, the 17-year-old, whose identity was not released, left the home and returned.
According to deputies, the teen became physically violent with the boyfriend, David Floyd, 39, grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Floyd in the chest.
Floyd was taken to an undisclosed hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died Sunday night.
