It took about half an hour for Tampa Fire Rescue crews to get a house fire at the 8400 block of North Packwood Ave. under control this afternoon.
Crews were called out about 4 p.m. to the single-story home. When they arrived, they found the home was 75 percent involved in smoke and fire, fire officials said.
All of the home’s occupants got out before firefighters arrived. Crews fought the fire inside the home. A second alarm was requested as flames began to threaten a neighboring home, but those flames were quickly extinguished and no neighboring homes were damaged.
The home sustained heavy smoke, water and fire damages.
Tampa Fire Marshal investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
