Pinellas County sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man they say filled four vehicles with gas at an Oldsmar convenience store without paying.

The theft occurred about 12:35 a.m. Aug. 30 at the Circle K at 3170 Tampa Road.

According to detectives, the man was observed getting out of a pickup and beginning to pump gas. After filling up one vehicle, he pulled the gas hose to a car and filled up.

The man then returned to his pickup and pulled away, and two more pickups pulled in, detectives said. The man walked over to those pickups and pumped their gas, and all four vehicles left the store without paying, detectives said.

The suspect was described by investigators as a black or Hispanic male wearing a white hat, white short-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans shorts. There was no descriptions for the other drivers.

The pickup trucks were red, silver and dark blue or black. The four-door sedan was dark blue or black.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office at (727) 582-6200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
