Deputies: Video shows suspects from Brandon burglaries

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says two men seen in this surveillance video are suspects in a string of vehicle burglaries in Brandon last month.

On Aug. 17 at around 3 a.m., the suspects entered five vehicles near 3922 Applegate Circle through unlocked doors and stole a laptop, a men’s wallet, several credit cards and other property, deputies said.

Just over an hour later they tried to use one of those credit cards to buy a $699 iPad from the Wal-Mart at 11110 Causeway Blvd. in Brandon.

The sheriff’s office described the suspects as a white male in his mid to late 20s, standing 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 with facial hair, and a black male in his late teens to early 20s with a tall, thin build.

The suspects were seen driving a burgundy, four-door sedan, possibly a Nissan, which had paint falling off the roof, the sheriff’s office said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200, or, to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or text “CSTB,” plus your tip to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
