Deputies seek suspect in Carrollwood Publix wine theft

Hillsborough County deputies are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect who stole more than $1,600 in wine from a Publix in Carrollwood.

Deputies say the suspect is seen on surveillance video entering the Publix at 13178 North Dale Mabry Highway on Feb. 11 just before 7 p.m. and unlocking the wine display.

The suspect took two bottles each of Roederer Cristal, Armand De Brignac and Perrier Jouet Belle, totaling $1,641.94.

The suspect then picks up a three-pack of toilet paper and three green reusable shopping bags before exiting the store without paying.

The suspect is described as a black man, 30-49 years old, between 5 feet 11 and 6 feet 2 and weighing 250 pounds. He has black hair with long braided dreadlocks, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his right upper arm. He was last sen wearing a black tank top, black basketball shorts, and balck and white thong sandals.
