Deputies: Men attack woman running on Bradenton school track

A 23-year-old woman running on the track at Bradenton school fended off an attack by two men Wednesday night, Manatee County deputies said.

About 9:30 p.m., the woman was on the track at Samoset Elementary, 3300 19th St. E., when she was attacked, deputies said.

She told investigators the men attempted to remove her clothing, but she was able to break free and challenge them with a weapon. Deputies did not say what the weapon was.

The woman was not injured.

The attackers fled on foot.

One suspect was described by deputies as black, in his 20s, and 6 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a red "Michael Jordan" hoodie,

The other suspect was described as white, in his 20s with a muscular build and a tattoo of a pinup girl on his art. He was wearing a yellow sleeveless shirt and neon orange shorts.
