A 29-year-old Tampa man who deputies say is a member of the Latin Kings street gang faces multiple charges of trafficking in cocaine after a four-month investigation ended with his arrest on Tuesday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Donald Matthew Wright, 29, of 7402 Armand Drive, is accused of distributing cocaine throughout northwest Hillsborough County and Tampa, deputies said.

On Tuesday, deputies using covert techniques identified Wright while he was en route to deliver cocaine in a 2007 Hyundai Azera, deputies said. They stopped Wright at a parking lot near North Armenia Avenue and West Cherry Street and found 139 grams of cocaine in his car, deputies said.

During the four-month investigation, deputies were successful in making arrangements for Wright to deliver more than 28 grams of cocaine on more than one occasion, deputies said. The total amount of cocaine seized as a result of the investigation weighed approximately 200 grams with an estimated street value of $10,000, deputies said.

Wright was booked into the Orient Road Jail where he was being held.
