Citrus County deputies are searching for a 29-year-old Manatee County man they believe is connected to a Floral City homicide that took place early today.
Deputies say Gregory Scott Holub, 5236 26th St. W., Bradenton, is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.
Holub was involved in a 3:49 a.m. shooting of Deseray Lynn Bowles, 24, of Inverness, at a home in the Withlapopka Isles area between Floral City and Inverness, deputies said. Witnesses took Bowles from the home at 10495 E. Rabbit Lane to a nearby restaurant, where she was picked up by an ambulance and taken to Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.
Bowles died at the hospital, deputies said.
Holub was seen on foot shortly after the shooting in the vicinity of Pintail Lane and Rabbit Lane in the Withlapopka Isles community. He was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans and may be wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt.
He is 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
