A 4-year-old boy who was expelled from a vehicle and found on a road Sunday night has died, Tampa police say.

Police have identified the boy as Marterrance Albury.

Police are searching for the suspect vehicle, possibly a green 2001-2004 Ford Expedition, which was last seen driving southbound on North Florida and 109th avenues about 9:45 p.m.

A witness told investigators that the boy found in a road “came from a car,” police said.

The boy was transported to a hospital, where he later died, police say.

Police say there were no reports of a missing child.
