Burglar sought in northwest Tampa

Published:

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies continue to keep a lookout for a man who entered a Tampa home earlier this month and ran from the scene once the homeowner spotted him.

The suspect entered a home through an unlocked sliding glass door on Timber Terrace Circle just after 10 p.m. March 5. Once the suspect was inside, he was confronted by the homeowner.

The suspect was startled and ran from the scene before he took anything, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect, who was wearing beige shorts and no shirt, had a tattoo of the state of Florida on his upper left arm and a tattoo on his chest that victim couldn’t identify.

He is described as a white male who is 18 to 21 years old. He is 5-foot-10 and weighs around 170 pounds with a medium build. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (813) 247-8200. To qualify for a cash reward, make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at (800) 873-8477.
