Bradenton baby sitter faces federal child porn charges

A Bradenton woman accused of sexually abusing a toddler now faces federal charges after being indicted by a grand jury, U.S. Attorney A. Lee Bentley III said today.

If Renee Gregg , 35, is convicted of production and transportation of child pornography, she faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years, up to 30 years in federal prison for the production charge, Bentley said. For the transportation charge, she faces a mandatory minimum of five years, and up to 20 years’ imprisonment.

According to the indictment and criminal complaint, in August 2011, while Gregg was babysitting a friend’s 2-year-old girl, she made pornographic pictures with the child and texted them to someone in Queens, New York,

Gregg and this individual also discussed having sexual contact with children, according to the complaint.
