Bicyclist remains hospitalized after Pinellas Park crash


PINELLAS PARK – A 36-year-old bicyclist remains hospitalized today after he was struck by a vehicle on New Year’s Eve.

Jose Issac Yebra-Cruz of Pinellas Park was traveling west in the eastbound lanes in the 6000 block of Park Boulevard, according to Pinellas Park police, when he was struck about 6:53 p.m. by a Raymond Vickery, 32, who was eastbound in a vehicle.

Cruz was ejected from his bicycle, which didn’t have safety equipment or lights, police said. He remains in serious condition at Bayfront Hospital.

Charges are pending against Cruz, police said.
