A 41-year-old Winter Gardens man was shot to death during a robbery outside a Tampa hotel on Saturday night, police said.

Authorities are searching for two men involved in the robbery and death of Agustin Osorio-Pacheco, Tampa Police said.

Osorio was sitting on the tailgate of a pick-up truck drinking beer with a 33-year-old man about 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Extended Stay America Hotel, 4312 West Spruce Street.

Two men drove into the parking lot in a grey Ford F150 and one got out with a gun and demanded money from the victims, police said.

The 33-year-old handed the man his cash but Osorio ran across the parking lot toward the hotel with the suspect running after him, police said.

The suspect shot Osorio near the hotel entrance, police said.

Osorio was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he died.
